JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State New Kensington invites applications for a Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor in Radiological Sciences, multi-year non-tenure line appointment, 48 weeks to begin August 2024, or as negotiated.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include teaching courses in the Radiological Sciences associates degree curriculum at the Penn State New Kensington campus and coordinating and providing instructional support for clinical education components of the program. Advise students to provide academic and career guidance. Teaching assignments may include traditional, hybrid and online delivery methods and may require teaching day, evening and/or Saturday classes as needed. Remain current in the field through appropriate professional development activities and participation in professional associations. Participate in campus, university, and community service activities. Assigned duties may also include supporting, co-coordinating, or coordinating effective program operations, recruitment and retention activities, curriculum development and assessment, and ongoing program accreditation processes.
Qualifications:
Minimum of M.S. degree in Biology, Health Science or a related field from a regionally accredited institution required for appointment at level of Lecturer; Ph.D. or related terminal degree required for appointment at level of Assistant Teaching Professor. Minimum of three years? full-time experience as a Radiologic Technologist and one years? experience in clinical or classroom instruction in a JRCERT accredited program in Radiologic Technology. R.T. (R), ARRT certifications.
