As a Special Ed Instructor, your day-to-day responsibilities include planning and implementing individualized education programs for students with special needs. Your expertise in special education instruction and strategies is essential in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Additionally, you're responsible for assessing student progress and providing ongoing feedback to parents and caregivers. Collaborating with therapists, speech pathologists, and other specialists, you ensure that each student receives comprehensive support. Regular team meetings and communication with parents are crucial parts of your role as well. If you can do this and meet the following requirements, you might be a perfect fit
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Eligible for teacher certification or enrolled in Master's degree program leading to certification
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to meet minimum requirements of the appropriate State Board of Education
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
