Job description: Our fitness studio is rapidly expanding, and we need a personal trainer to assist our clients in reaching their fitness objectives. You'll be working with clients in a 1-on-1 and small group setting to assess their fitness levels, develop customized training routines, and ensure they're using equipment safely. This position requires excellent customer service skills as well as a passion for fitness and assisting others with their health and wellness. Responsibilities:
Verify that all fitness regimens are suitable for each client by conducting personal fitness evaluations
Teach clients proper technique for all exercises, especially those requiring more complex equipment, to reduce injury risk
Hold yourself and your clients to the highest standards of conduct and safety
Customize training routines to assist clients in achieving their fitness goals while staying within their current physical capabilities
Monitor clients' progress and adjust their fitness plans accordingly
- Conduct initial fitness and quarterly goal assessments for clients
- Create individualized and customized training programs for clients and are suitable to each client's individual goals and abilities
- Lead small group and personal training sessions
- Produce referrals and online reviews
- Maintain an 80% or higher member renewal rate
- Uphold all gym standards and safety rules to keep clients safe and progressing toward their goals
Qualifications:
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED)
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and coworkers
Must possess a current certification as a fitness instructor or personal trainer
Outstanding time management and organizational skills
Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience
- Certification is not required but expected within 6 months of hire. Will provide on-the-job training
