Technical Program Manager, Infrastructure Supplier Quality, Data Centers
Note: By applying to this position you will have an opportunity to share your preferred working location from the following: <strong>Sunnyvale, CA, USA; Atlanta, GA, USA; New York, NY, USA; San Francisco, CA, USA; Austin, TX, USA</strong>.<strong>Minimum qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.</li><li>4 years of experience analyzing data and creating reports with statistical, quantitative modeling, and forecasting.</li><li>4 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, supply chain, operations or test validation for mechanical, fabrication, generator, or HVAC infrastructure equipment.</li><li>2 years of experience in program management.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Six Sigma Blackbelt, American Society for Quality certification (CQE, CQM, CRE, or CQA), or equivalent certification.</li><li>2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.</li><li>Knowledge of Infrastructure equipment design, manufacturing, and deployment at Data Centers or other Mission Critical Operations.</li><li>Knowledge of Infrastructure Standards applied to Mission Critical Operations (ANSI, ASME, APQP, NFPA/NEC, UL, etc.).</li><li>Knowledge in Design of Experiments, statistical analysis and process control, and familiarity with application of statistical analysis tools such as JMP/SAS/Minitab/ANOVA.</li><li>Ability to travel 50% or as needed.<br><br></li></ul><strong>About The Job<br><br></strong>The Data Center Infrastructure Quality team is responsible for high quality product delivery to meet Google's Data Center needs to enable Google Cloud customer demand and internal compute power. The Infrastructure Quality Mechanical team is responsible for the qualification and quality execution of the supplier from delivery to operations. The team collaborates closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Data Center Site Operations teams to deliver infrastructure capacity for Google. In this role, you will be the quality leader for assigned suppliers to facilitate the quality relationship between Google and their suppliers.<br><br>The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google .<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Work directly with supplier partners managing critical aspects of infrastructure data center equipment supplier quality. Collaborate with designers, commodity managers, manufacturing engineers, and drive supplier failure analysis.</li><li>Provide analytical leadership to statistically connect production line metrics, tests, and quality audits to field performance.</li><li>Manage validation of suppliers build/test processes and ensure they are meeting Google requirements. Validate supplier product lifecycle deliverables defined by Google and leverage industry quality standards.</li><li>Conduct supplier audits, inspect production facilities/lines, articulate quality improvement activities to reduce variability, improve predictability, streamline lead time, improve output quality, and more. Partner with suppliers to solve complex product quality and process issues across the full product lifecycle.</li><li>Own and advance our inventory quality management program.
