Key Responsibilities
?? Deliver personalized online instruction to students with special needs, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
?? Develop and implement virtual Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and tailored learning plans.
?? Collaborate closely with families, general education teachers, and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
?? Leverage assistive technology to enhance the learning experience and ensure accessibility for all students.
?? Regularly monitor, assess, and report on student progress within the virtual classroom, making adjustments as needed to support student success.
Qualifications
?? Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Master's degree preferred).
?? Valid West Virginia teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
?? Previous experience in online or distance education is highly desirable.
?? Strong digital literacy skills, with proficiency in using educational technology tools.
?? Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with students, families, and colleagues.
