We are Federated Communications, a 24/7 nationwide dispatch company servicing clients all over the country. Through the sale of our radios/equipment & dispatching service, we provide a lifeline in the field for our clients through our mission critical dispatch center located in Lexington, KY. We also provide radios & equipment to other entities who do not require dispatching service.

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our dynamic team at Federated Communications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales of our radios, equipment & 24/7 nationwide dispatching service through effective communication and relationship-building with clients. This role requires a proactive approach to lead generation, upselling, and managing customer accounts. The Sales Representative will work closely with our inside and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets. Targets for our radios/equipment ... dispatching service will include security companies, bail enforcement agents, private investigators, process servers, private ambulance services, towing & recovery companies, constables & marshals, private & special police agencies, etc. Targets for our radios & equipment not requiring our dispatching service include taxi companies, bus transportation companies, trucking companies, schools, warehouses, parks, etc.

    Responsibilities
  • Conduct cold calling to generate new leads and expand the customer base.
  • Engage in inside sales activities, including upselling products and services to existing customers.
  • Manage territory effectively by identifying potential clients and developing strategic plans to reach them.
  • Collaborate with the outside sales team to coordinate efforts and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-ups.
  • Provide technical sales support by understanding product specifications and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
    Skills
  • Proven experience in inside sales, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage clients effectively.
  • Strong lead generation skills, demonstrating initiative in identifying potential customers.
  • Proficiency in upselling techniques to maximize revenue from existing accounts.
  • Familiarity with technical sales concepts is a plus, enabling effective discussions about product features.
  • Experience in territory management, ensuring efficient coverage of assigned areas.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to achieve individual goals.
  • Previous experience in B2B sales is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation & Schedule

This is a commission-based position only. This position can be worked remotely. Hours & days worked are flexible and can be worked around another full-time job on off days & hours, as long as results are accomplished. Sales representatives will report directly to the Director of Communications and will be required to provide a weekly sales report.
