About the position

The Donor Care Representative at Living on the Edge plays a crucial role in ministering to and caring for the organization's donors, who are considered ministry partners. This full-time position is part of the Partner Relationships Team and reports directly to the Vice President of Partner Relationships. The primary objective of the Donor Care Representative is to express gratitude to donors for their support, understand their motivations for giving, and communicate the mission of Living on the Edge in a way that resonates with them. This role emphasizes a ministry-first approach, focusing on building genuine relationships with donors rather than treating interactions as mere transactions. In this position, the representative will engage with donors through various communication channels, including phone calls, emails, texts, and mail. The representative is expected to make 25-30 calls per day, fostering meaningful connections and discovering the needs and interests of each donor. The representative will also share the vision of Living on the Edge, articulate the impact of donations, and provide heartfelt thanks through God-centered communication. The role requires a commitment to spiritual growth and excellence in serving others, aligning with the organization's values as a Christian ministry. The Donor Care Representative will also be responsible for developing account management strategies to cultivate assigned donors, ensuring they are invited to give in alignment with their passions. This includes providing information about projects and initiatives, facilitating giving from various sources, and maintaining accurate records in the organization's CRM system. The representative will participate in team training and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall effectiveness of donor development efforts. Additionally, the role may involve attending donor-related activities and local or regional meetings as needed.

Responsibilities
?? Minister to and care for donors of Living on the Edge.

?? Thank donors for their partnership and learn about their motivations for giving.

?? Communicate aspects of the organization's mission that interest the donor.

?? Meet or exceed outbound activity metrics and fundraising goals.
,
?? Develop meaningful relationships through personal interaction with donors.
,
?? Conduct donor interactions using phone, email, mail, text, and occasionally in-person.
,
?? Identify each donor's interest in Living on the Edge's mission and connect it with their interests.
,
?? Share information on Living on the Edge programs and solicit financial donations.
,
?? Plan and implement account management strategies for assigned donors.
,
?? Ensure strategic contact plans are in place for donors.
,
?? Facilitate giving from donor advised funds and appreciated assets.
,
?? Record contact notes in the CRM for each donor.
,
?? Provide input to leadership regarding donor interests and needs.
,
?? Facilitate the transfer of donors when necessary.
,
?? Attend and participate in leadership devotions, weekly staff meetings, and daily prayer meetings.
,
?? Participate in team training and learning opportunities to strengthen effectiveness in donor development.

Requirements
?? Two-year technical degree or equivalent work experience (four years).

?? Bachelor's degree preferred.
,
?? Minimum of four to six years of work experience in sales, fundraising, client management, customer service, or a related field.
,
?? Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
,
?? Ability to work non-standard business hours to accommodate donor schedules.
,
?? Proficient in Microsoft Office, mobile phone technology, and website utilization.
,
?? Ability to use video conferencing systems like Zoom and understand multi-functional customer/donor databases.
