Our client is a start-up real estate investment sponsor focused on multifamily assets. They have acquired properties in six states, totaling over 3,700 units and $700M in asset value. Their investment management platform is a trusted and reliable source of investment opportunities for their capital partners. The company??s mission is to cultivate residential communities where residents are proud to call their apartments their homes.
They are looking for a Property Accountant who will be responsible for the books and records of several properties in the company??s portfolio. This position will also be preparing and reviewing journal entries, cash analysis, bank reconciliations, and other accounting duties.

Portfolio Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for properties, including balance sheets, variance analysis, and cash flow analysis.
- Review, analyze, and record adjustments and accruals to the general ledger.
- Perform all accounting duties related to a portfolio of properties, both on a cash and accrual basis
- Assist in the preparation of year-end audit packages.
- Monitor accounts receivable and notifies management of collection efforts when necessary.
Portfolio Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required
- 2-3 years of Residential property management accounting experience is highly preferred
- Proficient computer and software skills, specifically in Microsoft Office and Yardi
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
