We are currently seeking a Dyslexia Teacher to provide virtual instruction and intervention to students in Fort Worth, Texas. If you're passionate about supporting students with dyslexia and other reading challenges, this remote position allows you to make an impact from the comfort of your own home.
Responsibilities: ?? Provide engaging virtual instruction using research-based strategies for students with dyslexia and reading difficulties. ?? Assess student reading abilities and implement individualized intervention plans to support literacy development. ?? Utilize multisensory approaches, such as Orton-Gillingham or similar methodologies, to enhance reading comprehension and fluency. ?? Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to ensure consistent support and student success. ?? Monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed to meet each student's unique learning needs. ?? Maintain detailed records of student assessments, progress reports, and individualized learning goals.
Qualifications: ?? Valid Texas teaching certification with a specialization in Dyslexia, Special Education, or Reading Intervention. ?? Experience with evidence-based dyslexia interventions such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading, or Barton. ?? A minimum of two years of experience working with students with dyslexia or related reading challenges. ?? Strong virtual teaching skills and proficiency with online learning platforms. ?? Reliable internet connection and a quiet home workspace.
