Job SummaryCollects correct payments from patients, while minimizing patient complaints.

Duties and Responsibilities
?? Utilize current workflow process, master patient pay accounts receivables reports and billing system to identify claims that are past timely payment.
?? Utilize collections expertise to identify and escalate patient grievances to management.
?? Makes collection phone calls on all past due accounts targeting outstanding accounts for overdue payments regarding 90 plus day old accounts.
?? Ensure all payment plan tracking documents are updated daily.
?? Serve as a customer service point of contact for all inbound calls routed to the department.
?? Resolve patient account issues in a respectful and timely manner.
?? Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications
?? High School Diploma or equivalent required
?? Minimum of 2 years?? experience in medical collections or 3 years within a call center environment.
?? Experience working with all payer types to include Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party commercial insurance companies
?? Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under strict deadlines.
?? Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with an intermediate knowledge of Excel
?? Strong written and oral communication skills
