Senior Product Manager - Technical, Last Mile, Transporter Experience & Technology

This role will also influence products used by DSPs (Delivery Service Provider) and features that enable faster, efficient and accurate communications between them, the transporter and customers.

In the Last Mile Transporter Experience team, we own the experience for all transporter types (drivers, bikers, walkers etc) delivering all Amazon packages, groceries, ultra fast Prime Now deliveries, and more.

The Last Mile Transporter Experience is powered by a mobile app, available on both iOS and Android, and works in concert with our logistics and technology to guide transporters through the delivery journey. We crossed our 10 billion packages a few years ago, and now deliver a billion packages just through our same-day speed-delivery capabilities.

This role will help define our next set of transporter facing products focused on providing evolutionary and revolutionary concepts for their arrival at delivery stations, package pickup and package-to-vehicle loading workflows. This will focus on the transporter's start of work and end of work experiences across multiple business types (same-day, grocery, specialty deliveries, pickups).

Our mission is to ensure every package is delivered at the right time, at the right location, in the right way according to the customer's preference.

Our transporters operate across a wide range of scenarios, including single-family homes, apartment units behind locked gates, college campuses, and remote countryside residences worldwide. This role focuses on ensuring that their workday begins seamlessly and intuitively, setting them up for success when they hit the road. Success in this role involves identifying innovative methods and technologies-both software and hardware-to enhance efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness at every step of their start-of-day and end-of-day tasks. By empowering transporters to perform at their best, this role directly supports Amazon's commitment to delivering on its promise to customers.

This role is inherently cross-functional-this leader will work closely with engineering, program management, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, and executive teams to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance our existing products and features. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. Playing a key role in the Transporter Experience team, as a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the product definition and feature roadmap for multiple projects . You will work closely with multiple stakeholder/business teams, your engineering and UX/UI counterparts to identify business requirements, measuring and sharing progress against goals, and championing adoption with our customers through in-field research and testing. You will bring your experience of defining and releasing similar successful products at scale, preferably in consumer or industrial verticals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

• Bachelor's degree

• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

• Experience with end to end product delivery

• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

• Experience managing technical products or online services

• Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

• Proven ability to work independently to drive projects to completion.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.

• Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

• Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

• Master's degree

• Ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, support scope of requirements and prioritize

• Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position

• Proven track record of delivering projects with global teams, within scope, time, budget and quality

• An entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast-paced environment is crucial

• Exceptional passion for delivering world-class customer experiences.

• Experience in the product development of mobile applications.

• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.

• Demonstrated ability to turn customer needs and pain points into innovative products.

• Experience in supply chain, operations, logistics, or transportation.
