Part-Time Human Resources Assistant

Essential Functions:
Complete New Hire onboarding
○ Serve as the point of contact for new hires
○ Enter new hires' information in HRIS, completely and accurately
○ Complete Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and ensures
compliance with USCIS
HRIS Coordination
○ Maintain accurate employee records
○ Accurately process employee changes - salary, job title, status, etc.
○ Assign and track company-required trainings
○ Various audits - training status, I-9 compliance, complete prole information,
○ Wage Acknowledgment forms, etc.
Work with HR team to plan and execute employee engagement initiatives
○ Support engagement survey communication and data compilation
○ Support and add to on-going monthly employee engagement activities and events
Contribute to and manage HR projects and initiatives:
○ Audit and editing of company policy updates and communication
○ Process improvement and People Ops workflows
Qualifications:
- Required (Education/Experiences/Competencies):
- 1-2 years in an admin or entry-level HR role
- Preferred “Nice to haves” but not essential:
- Paylocity experience or exposure
- Ability to work EST hours
Fair work deserves fair wages. At Valera, we value this role at between $22-$25.
