Transcription Reviewers (English)
JTG is currently seeking Transcription Reviewers (English language).
Location: Remote
Status: Contractor
- Responsibilities:
- Review provided timestamped transcripts of audio/video files (source videos and transcripts are all in English) against source audio/video.
- Review and edit transcripts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Ensure subtitles follow industry standards for closed captions, i.e., speaker indication, atmospherics, etc.
- Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent written English skills, including spelling and grammar at a native or near-native level
- Able to review MPEG-4(.mp4), MOV (.mov), MPEG-3 (.mp3) and WAV (.wav) files.
- Ability to follow industry standards for closed captions, i.e., speaker indication, atmospherics, etc.
- Able to respond quickly to short deadline turnaround (within 1 day)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience performing/reviewing transcriptions for English video files
- Knowledge of SubRip Subtitle (.srt) files
- Bachelor's degree preferred
