Part-Time Instructor (Online) for high school students

We are seeking a motivated and engaging instructor to mentor a high school student in a structured, online research-based learning experience. The instructor will help guide the student through the process of experimental design, data interpretation, and manuscript writing, with the ultimate goal of producing a short research-style paper or presentation.

? Schedule: 1.5 hours per session, 4 times per week for 2 weeks (total: 12 hours)
? Format: Live online sessions via Zoom
? Rate: $75?100 per hour, depending on experience
? Start Date: Flexible, ideally in July and August

Responsibilities: ? Design and lead an engaging mini-curriculum focused on the basics of scientific inquiry and academic writing ? Introduce foundational concepts (e.g., hypothesis, experimental methods, data interpretation) ? Guide the student in topic exploration and structured writing ? Provide feedback on drafts and progress

Qualifications: ? Experience in research and/or academic instruction (postdocs or graduate students with publications) ? Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching ? Experience mentoring teens or teaching at the high school or college level preferred, but not required ? Ability to inspire curiosity and adapt content to the student?s interests and level
