About the position

Amazon's ROC Team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Specialist to assist in the resolution of stakeholder issues related to daily freight movements flowing into and out of our North American fulfillment centers and our associated fulfillment network. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join our team and positively impact Amazon, our transportation partners, and ultimately our customers. When network disruptions occur, you will be at the forefront of helping the network and transportation partners clear those issues, ensuring our customers receive their shipments on time. The ideal candidate will have a background in customer service, call center operations, transportation, and/or supply chain environments. A passion for quickly providing solutions and resolving challenges using strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills is essential. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with significant growth opportunities. They will be accountable to themselves, their team, carriers, drivers, and work schedules, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will deliver outstanding carrier and driver experiences in a contact center environment by researching issues, problem-solving, setting appropriate expectations, and working within the Amazon Transportation network. You will need to support workload surges and weather-related operations, which may require significant overtime during designated high-volume peaks. Utilizing internal systems, you will gather data from multiple sources to support reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial, as you will use your analytical skills to drive data-driven decisions and effectively communicate insights to others across Transportation Operations Management, Amazon Freight Partners, and Fleet. Additionally, you will provide support to field teams in driver assignment, load acceptance, and driver/equipment availability.

  • 1+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel) experience.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • ,
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
