A private equity-backed manufacturer with a strong track record of growth is looking for a Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations for one of its expanding plants. This is a high-impact role where you'll report directly to senior leadership and partner closely with operations to drive profitability and ensure financial transparency.

Job Details
- Responsibilities
- Lead all month-end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations for the facility
- Maintain accurate cost accounting systems and partner with operations to analyze cost drivers
- Prepare financial statements and management reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Oversee inventory accounting, cycle counts, and related reporting
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in financial controls
- Supervise and mentor the local accounting staff
- Act as a key liaison between plant management and the corporate finance team
- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA credential
- Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience, ideally including leadership in a manufacturing setting
- Strong background in cost accounting, inventory control, and plant-level financial reporting
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel for data analysis
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset suited to a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
