Program Manager, New Product Development (Software)
As a Program Manager within the Program Management Office (PMO), focused on Software New Product Development in Stryker's Endoscopy Division, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of innovative medical software products. You will need to live within commuting distance to our San Jose, California office for this Hybrid position. You will need to be in the office 3 days a week (including Mondays) and can work from home on other days.
- What you will do
- Define and manage program scope in collaboration with business unit leadership.
- Develop detailed project plans, including Agile/Scrum methodologies, Gantt charts, and Work Breakdown Structures.
- Own program schedules, analyzing critical paths and key milestones.
- Create and manage program budgets, optimizing costs within set limits.
- Partner with teams to develop and maintain program quality plans.
- Identify and mitigate project risks with a comprehensive risk management plan.
- Lead procurement strategy and vendor selection.
- Allocate and manage cross-functional resources, defining roles and responsibilities.
- Provide feedback, mentor team members, and support hiring and onboarding.
- Develop stakeholder engagement and communication plans for key business leaders.
What you need
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of related work experience in Project Management, Software Product Development, or Engineering.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent preferred.
- Utilization of Agile, rolling-wave, or waterfall planning methodology.
- Lead or developed projects for medical devices or regulated industries
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions, balancing risks and benefits in dynamic environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Strong understanding of quality systems (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA regulations) and risk management practices.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams to successfully deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
$150,300 - $245,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
