About the position

    This position will be in reservations and customer support, with a focus on customer and travel agent inquiries, and sales and reservation inquiries and assistance. Day-to-day activities will include:
  • Answering questions about the tours and services we offer.
  • Assisting clients and travel agents who wish to make reservations via phone and email.
  • Sales, in the form of providing in-depth explanations of our product and upselling where appropriate - we do not do outgoing "cold-call" sales.
  • Answering email inquiries from travel agents, customers, third parties, etc.
  • Answering phone calls from clients seeking assistance while on the ground in Europe.
  • Keeping customers and reservations meticulously organized, between client correspondence and the company's internal systems.
  • Maintaining seamless communication with the Rome team to ensure tours and services can run as promised.
  • Working with the Rome team to resolve last minute issues when they arise; this may include ticketing, transfers, calling clients on the ground, etc.

  • Experience in customer service for discerning clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working in an international context
  • Excellent phone presence
  • Experience in soft sales
  • Strong digital proficiency and general computer skills
  • A college degree
  • Experience in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and Slack
  • A professional background in the travel industry is not necessary, but experience traveling and a love of travel will be beneficial!
