New York Region Leader, Enterprise - SLG Northeast Sales
DESCRIPTION
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a sales leader for the State & Local Government business. The leader will be responsible for driving awareness and adoption of State and Local Government workloads on AWS’s global cloud computing platform. Would you like to create business strategies and continue to build a team focused on increasing awareness and adoption of AWS? As an Enterprise State & Local Government Sales Leader, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your responsibilities will include growing and managing a highly talented sales team focused on driving revenue, adoption, and market awareness in the State & Local Government market segment. This includes determining the most effective go-to-market strategies, and collaborating with the Commercial Sales, Public Policy, Legal, Marketing, Contracts and Executive leadership along the way.
The ideal candidate will possess a sales management background that enables them to lead a team of senior enterprise sale representatives with engagements at the CXO level.
You should also be located in New York and ready to grow the business throughout this territory.

- BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of sales management experience
- Experience in management of large, complex enterprise accounts or equivalent
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Cloud sales experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $168,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $278,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
