About the position
As a Ramp Agent at Delta Air Lines, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of cargo and baggage. This entry-level position involves physical tasks such as loading and unloading bags, operating ground equipment, and safeguarding cargo from damage. - Responsibilities
- Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft. ,
- Guide incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions to ensure timely connections. ,
- Safeguard cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather. ,
- Drive and operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in congested areas. ,
- Operate baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage.
- Requirements
- Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data. ,
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. ,
- Be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States. ,
- Have a valid driver's license. ,
- Proficiency in English is required. ,
- Pass a physical ability test (PAT). ,
- Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
