About the position


The Senior Global Demand Planner will play a crucial role in the Xbox Supply Chain Planning team, focusing on driving the strategy and performance of Xbox Console and Accessories to meet financial and category targets. This position requires analytical skills and innovation to enhance the supply chain processes for Microsoft's hardware and software products, ensuring effective collaboration across various teams and stakeholders.


Responsibilities




  • Partner closely with Go To Market, Sales, and Finance cross-functional partners to drive long-term demand planning.
  • ,

  • Drive optimal channel inventory to maximize revenue opportunities and support key customers across all segments.
  • ,

  • Oversee product transition forecasting to balance customer and financial expectations with product life cycle roadmaps.
  • ,

  • Ensure key forecasting metrics are understood and actioned, leading cross-team efforts for necessary improvements.
  • ,

  • Integrate demand plans within systems and processes, developing new reporting tools to enhance supply chain visibility and accuracy.


Requirements




  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field.
  • ,

  • 4+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or sales operations, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting).
  • ,

  • 5+ years of experience with business presentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI).
  • ,

  • Data Analysis and Visualization skills (SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Power Pivot).
  • ,

  • Program management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Nice-to-haves




  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or sales operations, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting).
  • ,

  • Experience in the cloud industry, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management.
