Job description: ActionLink is hiring a Seasonal Part-Time Beauty Sales Demonstrator to join our Dyson Promoter Team!

Position Overview
We are ramping up for the busy 4th quarter, end of year retail shopping season and seeking an outgoing individual who will enjoy creating engaging interactions and providing expert advice to customers. You will be representing our client, Dyson, and their premier line of hair styling tools that are aimed at preventing extreme heat damage. As a Dyson Stylist Expert, you will excite customers by demonstrating the powerful and innovative features of Dyson's Supersonic hair dryer, Airwrap multi-styler, Corrale cordless straightener, and Airstrait wet to dry straightener. You will also assist in maintaining quality visual merchandising standards and providing feedback by completing digital surveys after each work shift.
About you
Many of our best Dyson Stylists are currently employed or working freelance with other companies associated with haircare or cosmetics brands. You can handle hair confidently, perform fundamental curling and straightening techniques, and apply hair products during in-store demo sessions. You can create in-store theater by helping customers discover new looks and showcasing all the reasons why Dyson's hair styling tools are unique, pioneering, and simply the best that money can buy!
- Schedule & Location
- 16 hours per week
- 2:00pm - 9:00pm Saturday and Sunday
- This is a temporary promotional position running through December 31, 2023
- Dyson Demo Store - Tysons Corner in McLean, VA

- Duties
- Participate in web-based training courses and videos to learn proprietary product information
- Build strong rapport with Dyson Demo store staff to establish productive store relationships
- Engage customers throughout the sales process, from initial greeting and assessing need to offering advice and closing the sale
- Perform professional-level styling demos to give customers hands-on trials that convey product benefits
- Complete same-day online survey reports to document visits and provide feedback
- Maintain business communication with District Manager via occasional phone calls, emails, and requested web meetings
- Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology license
- Experience in hair styling and/or working in a salon environment
- Background in retail, customer service, and/or sales preferred
- Access to reliable vehicle transportation to travel to assigned locations
- Must adhere to dress code/professional appearance standards and demeanor
- Access to a smart device to complete reporting and communicate with district manager
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
