- Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in program/project management.
- 3 years of experience in software development, including experience in mobile application development.
- Experience working with engineering, non-engineering teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with program management for projects that span multiple teams in geographically disparate locations.
- Experience commercializing technical product launches and comfortable conversing on technical topics and products.
- Android experience.
- Knowledge in device security and privacy.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively with multiple levels including executive leadership team, managers, and junior staff.

The Pixel System Software team is responsible for the core software running on Pixel Phones. Our team comprises the major software subsystems such as core bring-up, performance, power, graphics, display, touch and haptics, sensors etc.
The Technical Program Manager is responsible for managing planning and execution of software security and privacy features on Pixel devices. Everything from working with cross-functional security teams to product management teams to external Pixel partners to make PIxel devices the most secure of all mobile devices.
- Responsibilities
- Plan and execute security, privacy, and content protection features on Pixel devices.
- Drive technical as well as data analysis of issues. Recommend a way forward, representing the team in cross-functional and leadership forums.
- Focus on the user experience and advocate for the Android/Pixel quality bar internally, as well as with internal and external partners to ensure we maintain a great product.
- Seek out all necessary schedule inputs and develop a defensible plan for software development release and keep the team tracking to it. Spot, track, and communicate key risks and help identify solutions to mitigate those.
- Manage communication of progress/status within the core team and externally (customers, partners, etc.), and escalate issues as necessary.
