Role Description
Reporting to the Clinical Applications Training Manager, the Advisor, Clinical Applications Training functions as a knowledgeable EHR consultant, trainer, educator, and evaluator responsible for supporting and training end users on clinical systems functionality and workflows and ensuring optimal use of clinical technology to achieve system-wide strategic priorities.
Participate in development of training plan for Care Management Platform
Provide input into workflow development and related processes for new platform
Participate in usability testing of Care Management Platform workflows
Participate in train the trainer sessions in preparation for end user training
Conduct end user training on new Care Management Platform
Serve as resource for CMP super user group and workforce
Partner with super user group as subject matter expert (SME) for post go-live end user training and support
Assist in developing distance-learning modules for learning management system (LMS)
Assess training needs and opportunities for internal and/or external end users
Develop training curricula and calendars which include topic outlines, class plans, handouts, goals for the training, etc.
Conduct regularly scheduled live new hire training sessions and supplemental training sessions when new workflows are developed
Facilitate end user trainings with Subject Matter Experts as additional support for staff arise
Collaborate with managers and supervisors in developing remedial training plans for staff
Develop post training evaluation to ensure end user understanding and competence
Interact as necessary with vendor training resources
Participate in prioritizing and communicating changes requested for the system
Work with EHR Implementation Team to coordinate software updates and changes for users and plan appropriate training
Assist in analyzing new functionality in subsequent EHR releases to determine usability
Assist in developing e-learning modules and other training tools
Participate in training of new workflows and clinical transformation benefits
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent experience
Must successfully complete eCW credentialed training program
Equivalent experience working with EHR systems may substitute for degree requirement
Bachelor’s Degree with background in EHR systems preferred
Requirements
2-4 years of experience
One to two years’ experience in a healthcare environment required
Prior classroom training experience strongly preferred
Knowledge and understanding of adult learning styles
Ability to deliver training one-on-one or in a classroom setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both interpersonally and on a technical level
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology and applications
Basic technical troubleshooting skills

Excellent customer service communications skills
Ability to work calmly and constructively under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to manage and keep track of multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to travel and work at various locations is required
