Ultra Electronics, ICE is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our IT team. Our success depends on IT systems that help us reach consumers all over the world. WeÂre seeking an experienced systems administrator whoÂs eager to further develop technological skills on a worldwide stage. This person will protect our critical systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing the overall IT strategy. From early on, the systems administrator will empower breakthrough innovations, take on challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and be responsible for results. The ideal candidate is passionate about applying skills and expertise to a technology-based business model that creates real-world solutions.- Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly
- Monitor infrastructure health using existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
- Assist PCS IT teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
- Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups
- Supports and develops Local and cloud infrastructure
- Controls asset management and when required raises orders and requisition requests
- Associate or Technical College degree in information technology or computer science or relevant on the job experience
- Knowledge of Windows server administration
- Backup Administration
- Knowledge of office 365 Administration
- Knowledge of VMware Administration
- Knowledge of VOIP Telephony (MS TEAMS)
- Knowledge of cisco networking and administration
- PowerShell scripting
- MS Exchange Administration
- Excellent communication skills
- IT Certifications
- Previous experience in an IT support role
- Previous experience supporting IT operations within an engineering, manufacturing, or related business.
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
