Job title: Remote Coding Associate 2 Company: Asante Job description : Remote Coding Associate 2 Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | Primarily Mon - Fri / 8AM - 5PM (PST) PLEASE NOTE: This is a remote position, however due to our pay practices, qualified candidates MUST reside within one of the following states: OR, WA CA, ID, NV, UT, CO, AZ, NM, OK, TX, KY, TN, GA, NC, FL, ME, IL, MI, AK, MT. While candidates need to live or relocate to one of the aforementioned states, working remotely will require reliable broadband internet and personal cell phone service. Remote work may include working day-to-day operations during Pacific Standard business hours or online training. For this position, we are seeking outpatient coders with experience in Orthopedic surgery, Neurosurgery, and General Surgery. The typical starting range for the Coding Associate 2 is $23.29 - $29.11/hour and up (based on qualifications and years of relevant experience). Position Summary The Coding Associate 2 is primarily responsible for the coding and abstracting of ancillary/outpatient records including ambulatory surgery and emergency room pertaining to patient's occasion of service. Standardized coding and classification systems, minimum data sets, data definitions and terminology will be utilized to ensure data is uniformly defined, collected, and verified. Also provides assistance to authorized users to furnish aggregate data and information needed for education, statistical, managerial, reimbursement and performance improvement activities.
