Visual Arts Figure Model will enable Fine Art Students to draw the human body by posing for class participants.
Essential Functions
- Pose for fine arts figure drawing course (Monday and Wednesday afternoons, 1-4pm)
- Be able to provide a full range of traditional life drawing poses, from gestures to sustained poses, as required by tradition and the instructor.
- Provide traditional gestures and poses as well as anatomical studies.
- The model poses without clothing in figure drawing.
- Previous experience as an artist's model or dance or theater experience.
- Be aware of classic and traditional poses in the art tradition.
- Acceptance of the responsibility to promote the welfare and best interests of students at all times.
- A demonstrable understanding and acceptance of the mission, values, goals and objectives of SCC.
- The ability to perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and goals of the institution, community and technical college system.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering and supporting a teaching, learning and working environment that honors diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Be physically able to provide a full range of body gestures and poses, from quick gestures to long, sustained poses.
- Be able to hold poses for the sustained drawings.
Applicatin are reviewed monthly for future assignments.
