Job Title: Controller - Senior Accountant (Part-Time, Remote)

Position Summary:
As a Controller - Senior Accountant, you will oversee the financial operations, ensure accurate accounting practices, and provide insights into the company??s financial health. You will play a key role in financial reporting, budget management, tax filings, and more. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Experience in real estate accounting and working with accredited investors is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities: ?? Oversee and manage the company??s financial transactions and accounting systems. ?? Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. ?? Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely. ?? Reconcile bank statements and balance sheets. ?? Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements. ?? Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts. ?? Coordinate and prepare for tax filings, working with external auditors as needed. ?? Assist in cash flow management and financial planning. ?? Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior leadership to inform business decisions. ?? Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in financial operations. ?? Work with accredited investors, ensuring proper financial reporting, investment tracking, and compliance with industry regulations. ?? Ensuring financial systems and processes align with real estate development operations.
Qualifications: ?? Bachelor??s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. ?? CPA preferred but not required. ?? Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting or controller role. ?? Experience in real estate accounting and working with accredited investors is a strong plus. ?? Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar). ?? Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel. ?? Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. ?? Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with remote teams. ?? Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.
