Scribe - Behavioral Health - Less than PT - Day
Position Status: Part time Shift: First Shift (Days - Less than 12 hours per shift) (United States of America) Hours per week: 12 Job Information Exemption Status: Non-Exempt A Brief Overview This position spends a high percentage of time performing medical transcription duties as a "real time" scribe for a specific physician. Time is spent routing and processing transcription and delivering reports to physicians for review in a timely manner. Core responsibility is to capture accurate and detailed documentation of the patient encounter in a timely manner. Experience Qualifications 1 year Experience as a scribe, Medical Assistant (MA), Patient Care Technician (PCT) or related experience performing transcription duties. Required Skills and Abilities Must have a working knowledge of medical terminology. (Required proficiency) What you will do Assist the provider in navigating the Employee Health Record (EHR). Respond to various Employee Health Record (EHR) messages as directed by the provider. Locate information for review (i.e. previous notes, reports, results, etc). Enter information into the Employee Health Record (EHR) as directed by the provider. Ensure that all entries in the EHR by the scribe are authenticated by the scribe including date and time. Relay all advisories or alerts that appear while scribing to obtain guidance from Provider on proper response. All scribe entries must contain an entry made by the provider that • Affirms the providers presence during the time the encounter was recorded • Verification that provider reviewed the information • Verification of the accuracy of the information • Provider authentication including date and time Provides a positive image to customers by creating a friendly atmosphere and placing a high priority on meeting customer needs in a courteous manner. Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the dress code. When workload is outside of standards notifies supervisor, makes suggestions for improved workflow. Reports to work as scheduled, does not create a burden to department by tardiness. Is supportive of the mission, vision and goals of SVHC in attitude and action. Works effectively and cooperatively with peers. Utilizes time and resources effectively. Conscientious regarding care of equipment, utilization of supplies and personal time. Attends meetings and in-services. Completes all mandatory in-services prior to expiration. Completes daily tasks without direction or supervision.
